Brilliant victory of Tenzor Sport on the Act 2 of Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series 2021/2022

The Tenzor Team takes away the winning trophy from Monaco and improves its position in the overall standings of the Series – this is the result of the Act 2 of  Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series 2021/2022.

The Tenzor Sport team of Milena Nikitina, Daniil Odintsov, Alexander Grishunin and Alexander Andrianov had a great regatta, winning the race with a good advantage over strong and experienced rivals.

A big fleet of 51 teams on J/70 yachts, represented by 12 nations, fought for the maximum results during the three racing days of the second stage of the Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series 2021/2022.

The wind conditions were extremely unstable. On the first day of the regatta, the organizers held three races. The first one took place with a stable southwest wind of 7-12 knots, and then the wind changed by almost 180 degrees, and the participants waited for the next start for almost an hour and a half. The conditions were complicated by the fact that the wave became very high and almost vertical. The helmsmen had to show all their skills, it was not easy to steer the boat, especially on tacking. At the end of the day, two teams from Monaco (Junda and GSPOT) and three Russian crews – Milena Nikitina’s Tenzor Sport, Andrey Pushkin’s Tenzor Legal and Inna Balashova’s Dolce Vita – settled in the top five.

The second day of the competition was held in a weak wind of 4-6 knots, which blew very unstable, forming calm spots in the water area, and by the finish of the first and only race it turned sour almost to zero. Somewhere luck worked, somewhere the right tactical decisions, but the results for many teams, including the leaders, have changed.

Milena Nikitina’s Tenzor Sport, having taken the not good start, was able to quickly catch up and become the leader of the race. This win allowed the Russian team to climb to the top of the overall standings. The leader of the Act1 of the Series – the Junda team finished only 13th in the race, lost its place in the top three, dropping to the 4th place. Three positions in the overall results were lost by the Russian crew of Andrey Pushkin’s (Tenzor Legal), who got into a calm spot and ended the day on the 7th position in the results after two racing days.

On the decisive third day, the wind came back to the water area only at lunchtime, which allowed the organizers to hold only one race. The Tenzor Sport team proved itself superbly, having made, as on the eve, the first arrival and thereby secured a convincing victory at the stage with scoring 7 points in the asset.

In 4 points behind, on second place, the regatta was completed by the GSPOT team representing the Monaco Yacht Club. The three leaders on the podium were closed by Inna Balashova’s Dolce Vita team (23 points).

The Tenzor Legal crew of Andrey Pushkin  finished in the top ten, taking 9th place.

The excellent results of the team at this stage allowed both crews of the Russian Tenzor Team, acting with the support of ERSO and Tenzor Consulting Group, as well as the information partner “Vedomosti.Sport”, to improve their overall standings in the Series. Milena Nikitina and her Tenzor Sport crew have risen to 2nd place, and Andrey Pushkin’s Tenzor Legal team holds in 7th place.

The next meeting of the participants of MSWS 2021/2022 will be held in the new year, from February 3-6, 2022.
