On March 6th , the Principality of Monaco summed up the results of the four-stage winter Series J/70 Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series 2021/2022.
The final ACT4 gathered 72 teams at the start, which was the maximum number in comparison with the previous stages. The regatta promised to be hot and tense, especially for Russian teams: Milena Nikitina’s Tenzor Sport was the leader of the series after three stages, Inna Balashova’s Dolce Vita was currently on fourth place, Andrey Pushkin’s Tenzor Legal crew was in the top ten in 9th place, two more Russian teams – Eyed Mushrooms and ELF also fought for high positions.
However, the current circumstances in the world have spread like lightning to all spheres of life and activity, including sports.
Unfortunately, the Russian Tenzor Team, which not without effort got to Monaco with the only crew of Andrey Pushkin’s Tenzor Legal, was not allowed to start, referring to the decree of World Sailing and the decision of the government of Monaco.
As a result, the forced non-participation of Russian teams affected the official final results of the Series.
The crew of Milena Nikitina’s Tenzor Sport became the 7th, Andrey Pushkin’s Tenzor Legal was ranked on 32nd place among of total 95 classified teams.
Andrey Pushkin: “We are grateful to the Monaco Yacht Club and personally to the manager Bernard D’Alessandri for the efforts made and the work done. We congratulate the winners and prize-winners, and also thank the rivals for the interesting fight on the water in the stages of the series that took place for us and friendly relations on the shore. As for our team, we are proud of the Tenzor Sport crew consisting of Milena Nikitina, Daniil Odintsov, Alexander Grishunin and Alexander Andrianov. They are our Champions! The Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series 2021/2022 was our first international experience and the first great success. I would like to say special words of gratitude to our partners – the companies ERSO and Tenzor Consulting Group, as well as the Vedomosti.Sport for information support. There are new regattas and new victories ahead!“.
