A record number of participants – 22 teams showed up for the third stage of the Summer mX700 class Cup of the 2022 season. The regatta was held in St. Petersburg on the basis of the ZIGZAG sailing club.
The first racing day of the Summer mX700 Cup ended with the 4th result for the Tenzor Team crew of Andrey Pushkin, Timofey Zubkov, Anna Bogomolova and Mikhail Yatsun. They grew up during the five races held, finishing 7-9-2-3-4.
Timofey Zubkov: “It was a wonderful racing day, the weather pleased us. The wind changed, but it was always there. Some races blew hard, there was even a thunderstorm wind from under the clouds, so all sails had to be lowered, and the entire fleet in this survival mode went to the first mark. In some races, the wind was weaker, but interesting battles at a distance gave pleasure. We have an interesting crew staff for this regatta. At first we got used to each other and to the water area, and then we had some good races, finishing in the leader group. Globally, we are very happy, a large fleet has gathered here – 22 yachts, everything is very cool!”
The second and decisive day of the regatta was held in a windless mode, which did not allow the organizers to start the race. Thus, the results of the first race day became the final results of the regatta.
Taking 4th place, the Tenzor Team rose to fifth place in the overall Cup standings after three stages.
