From April 21 to 24, the Tenzor Team will take part in the first stage of one of the most prestigious Russian series of sailing regattas – the National Sailing League of the 2022 season. The first stage of regatta will take place in Abrau-Durso on the waters of the lake Abrau.
Two crews of the team – Tenzor Legal with Andrey Pushkin, Pavel Sozykin, Timofey Zubkov, Nikita Ushkov and Tenzor Sport led by Milena Nikitina with Daniil Odintsov, Aleksandr Andrianov and Mikhail Yatsun set a serious sports tasks – to fight for the podium and the title of national champion. The team already has a victory in the NSL 2021, as well as “silver” in the Premier division in the 2020 season. In addition, there are many successes and won stages of the NSL in the 2017-2020 seasons in the personal assets of the team members.
The format of the regatta is a classic series of short races of 10-12 minutes, races with transfers. Up to 16 races can be held during the day, so each team races several times according to the schedule of the tournament grid.
The list of the announced teams includes very strong rivals – ZIDart Sailing Team, ArtTube, “Russian Bogatyr”, “Lord of the Sail – Moscow”, CALIPSO, MATRYOSHKA, “Region-23” and others.
The race program includes one training day, on April 21, and three race days from April 22 to April 24.
Andrey Pushkin (Tenzor Legal helmsman): “The NSL traditionally has a strong squad, and that’s what makes the regatta interesting. Everyone wants to win, everyone has big ambitions, so the result will depend on many factors, including Lady luck. We will try to realize our full potential, I have a great team that is always charged for maximum results!”.
Milena Nikitina (steering Tenzor Sport): “The National Sailing League is my favorite racing format. They are dynamic, short in time, but very intense in emotions and concentration. On the eve of the first stage in Abrau-Durso, we expect an interesting fight with strong rivals. The water area of Lake Abrau is familiar to us. It is a very picturesque and beautiful place, but the wind conditions there are difficult. The winds come unexpectedly and sharply, in sets that are important to see and guess with the direction of the maneuver.”
